The world of Lord of the Rings is a beloved classic; and so is the character of Gollum, who will be at the center of the upcoming Daedalic Entertainment’s LOTR adventure that goes by the name of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. After having seen the new story trailer, hopefully our initial confusion about playing as Gollum have been alleviated and we have grown to warm up to the project.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum seeks to bring forth a unique and distinct experience, as the goal is to make it a “stealthy” take on a Lord of the Rings title. With the extraordinary trailer just released, we have grown more interested in what the gameplay will be like, and all we know is that it should be released in 2023.
The trailer gave us a story summary of Gollum’s journey. We know it will cover several regions of Middle-earth and will bring us back to meeting well-known characters from Tolkien’s books. The main challenges players will have to go through are guessing which path to take, using their agility and guile to avoid the dangers they will face on their adventure.
It is good to get a sneak peek of what might take place in the age-old tale; yet, this is obviously something that can’t be decided until we actually get a hands-on experience with the game. And to that end, we can only continue to speculate and prepare by following Daedalic Entertainment and their ambitious project.
