It’s finally happening! After months of anticipation, a new life simulation game is getting its long-awaited world debut: Life By You. Developed by Paradox Tectonic and helmed by former The Sims boss Rod Humble, Life By You is etching out a big stake in the life simulation game market that was previously monopolized by EA’s The Sims.

Life By You’s trailer offers a glimpse of what players will be able to expect from the anticipated game. Featuring an open-town with cars and a bus (a surprisingly innovative concept for Sims-likes!), along with a glimpse of housebuilding, fun seasonal activities in sunny beaches, and more, everyone will have something to look forward to when Life By You is finally released.

The Sims has been the undisputed king of life simulation games ever since its initial release, however community members are excited to see how the game will evolve with some competition. Paralives, developers of an upcoming rival game, is already gathering support on Patreon with more than £30,000 in monthly pledges.

Life By You’s full showcase is coming on March 20th and it’s an event that should not be missed. It’s part of Paradox’s Announcement Event which will also include a sequel to the ever-popular city builder Cities: Skylines, a new strategy game from the developers of BattleTech, and tons of DLC releases for Crusader Kings 3.

Are you excited for Life By You? Are you a Simmer from the Bustin’ Out days? What do you think of the features revealed so far? Tell us in the comments below and make sure to mark your calendar for March 20th for Paradox’s Announcement Event!
