This week marks the release of WWE 2K23, the latest installment from 2K’s beloved wrestling series. Critics have begun to give their verdict across different platforms, and so far reviews are looking significantly positive. The game currently holds a Metacritic score of 84 on PlayStation 5 and looks set to be the benchmark of wrestling games for years to come.
Attack Of The Fanboy sees it as “an overwhelming amount of content”, with its 4.5/5 score showing that you may be playing it ”for years to come.” Hey Poor Player gave it 4.5/5 as it “truly is championship material”, while Push Square gave it 8/10 that praised War Games as “pure chaos” and MyRise mode “much improved.” GamesRadar called it a “solid” game with “the most playable in half a decade”. Finally, Wccftech gave 7.5/10, claiming it gets closer to delivering the total package you expect from the best sports games.
