It has become increasingly obvious why more and more people have jumped onto the fever that is The Mandalorian. The groundbreaking space-western adventure has captured the hearts of millions ever since its premier in 2019, and this new season should prove to be no exception.

Just recently its creator Jon Favreau had an exclusive interview with BFM TV, where he mentioned something quite extraordinary. He was able to confirm that the script for the fourth season was already done and ready to be filmed. It hasn’t been announced yet by Disney and Lucasfilm, but is a good sign that something like this is already in the works.

It is no surprise that Season 4 is already under works since this past season ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger. Favreau also must be aware that there are also other series that are being released in the same galaxy such as Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. Therefore one of his priorities is releasing a fully formed story, while at the same time making sure it doesn’t conflict with any other stories set in the same ‘Star Wars’ universe.

Favreau has already written the scripts for Season 4 and passed them onto Dave Filoni, who is currently writing and putting together the story for Ahsoka. The most noteworthy character for the show being Rosario Dawson, who is set to make her live-action appearance for the first time as Ahsoka. The series is still set during the same time as The Mandalorian, thus giving the creators even more credit for masterfully connecting both stories.

Plus, we have yet to find out what (if anything) will be revealed in the upcoming series The Acolyte, which stars Amandla Stenberg. This series is set years in the past, which brings us even more excitement since it could potentially link together several stories that we haven’t been able to piece together.

It’s really a fascinating request how so many stories can be connected, and that’s what makes The Mandalorian feel so special. Its ability to intertwine two stories, while at the same time still being able to uphold its own plot, is something that makes it stand out from the rest of the ‘Star Wars’ universe.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian will be officially premier on March 1st on Disney+, so if you haven’t already: don’t miss out on this show! It’ll be sure to give us surprises and plot twists we have only dared for in the past. So don’t forget to mark down the date and be ready for this epic adventure.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for the new season of The Mandalorian? Do you believe that these different series have the potential to join together in ways we would have never expected? Leave a comment and let us know!
