Are you excited about the new design that Spotify is rolling out for its mobile apps? It certainly looks like the streaming giant is taking a page out of the book of fellow streaming platform TikTok with their latest update. The new design will provide deeper discovery and more meaningful connections between artists and fans, and is being hailed as Spotify’s “biggest evolution yet.”

The redesigned Spotify mobile experience is offering audio and video previews for music, podcasts, and audiobooks directly in the Home feed. These previews are interactive and provide multiple ways to engage with the content. Users can sample audio before fully diving in, can save, download, or share with just one tap, and can play a track, album or playlist from the start. Plus, users will be able to find plenty of related genres via hashtags for even more discoveries.

Search will also get an overhaul with video feeds providing short Canvas clips from a variety of tracks from some of the user’s favorite genres. Here, users will be able to save the track to a playlist with a single tap, follow the artist, and even share it with friends. Also, users can check out previews on some of the most popular playlists, such as Discover Weekly, Release Radar, New Music Friday and RapCaviar.

Spotify hasn’t given a clear-cut launch date yet, but they did say they’ll be rolling it out to Premium and Free users in the “coming weeks and months.”
