We have exciting news for Mac fans in the upcoming months; Apple plans to release a brand new MacBook Air with an impressive 15-inch display come April. Word on the street is that the laptop will be driven by the powerful M2 chip, which is said to offer an 18% faster processor, 35% faster graphics and an impressive 40% faster Neural Engine thanks to modern technological advances. It is also reported to come with support of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 technology, making this particular MacBook Air a potential game-changer.

Let’s explore some of the most exciting features that could launch with the 15-inch MacBook Air. True to its name, perhaps the biggest talking point of this laptop is the increased display size, boasting 15.5 inches – the widest ever for the MacBook Air range. Initially the laptop was distributed in a 11-inch form and later graduated to the 13.6-inch display that has been featured on the recent MacBook ASIRs.

Another noteworthy aspect of the 15-inch MacBook Air will be the longer battery life thanks to the inclusion of a larger battery compatible to the bigger chassis. The successor of the 13-inch model boasted 18 hours per charge that is attributed to the Apple Silicon M2 chips, so the 15-inch model could potentially reach the 20-hour mark.

Besides the impressive battery life, the 15-inch MacBook Air will also have widespread applications of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 that could accelerate the device to faster speeds and reduce latency, interference and power consumption. This particular tech is already seen in the Mac Mini, and the iPad Pro, and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are equipped for Wi-Fi 6E.

Bluetooth 5.3 also provides advantages such as improved reliability and power efficiency, according to the Bluetooth SIG. The 15-inch MacBook Air may even support LE Audio down the line but will depend entirely on Apple’s decisions and implementations. To seal the deal, Apple has recently filed a product listing in relation to Bluetooth 5.3, though the filing did not offer many details, but it further fuels anticipation of the upcoming Macs.

It’s certainly going to be an exciting period for Mac fans. Keep an eye out on the news and be sure to read our roundup below to stay up to date on the rumors circulating the 15-inch MacBook Air. Will you be getting your hands on it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
