Are you brave enough to explore the horrors of a remote island in the new Survival Horror game Sons of the Forest? Developed by Endnight Games and available on PC in early access, this open-world simulator has garnered immense success and over 60,000 reviews with a “Very Positive” rating.
On a mission to find a missing billionaire, you will be tasked with crafting, building and fighting to survive in a landscape overrun by cannibals. Not only will you be playing alone with complete freedom to tackle the game the way you want – no orders from NPC’s – but you can also play with friends.
Speaking to GamingBolt, the developer stated they would “love to come to console in the future”, leading us to wonder if we could be expecting an Xbox version as soon as 2024.
If survival-horror is your preferred game style, Sons of the Forest is definitely one to look out for. It’s still early access and expected to remain so for the next 6-8 months, but that doesn’t leave a lot of time for a possible console transition.
