Lucid Air Luxury Electric Vehicle Equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Lucid Motors, the luxury electric vehicle maker, has come out with a long-awaited update to its vehicle and connectivity suite: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are now both easily and conveniently available. This news was officially announced today on Twitter and on the Lucid Motors website, where the company stated that both features come standard across the board with their cars.

This update comes as Lucid Motors has received both praise and criticism in regards to its connectivity suite. After the initial announcement of this update, Lucid Motors has responded to the questions and anticipation by showcasing details of the suite through a short video posted on Twitter. A further breakdown of this state-of-the-art technology was also provided on the company’s website.

The 34 inch, 5K floating screen, which is curved like the inside of a cockpit, stretches from the driver’s side of the instrument cluster to the middle of the dash. While the exact size of the CarPlay and Android Auto area of the screen has yet to be determined, the sheer display itself allows for a comprehensive and comprehensive user experience for drivers.

The addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto creates a much more convenient way for drivers to access the countless apps and functions made available by the two companies. The ability to make calls, use GPS, and access popular apps without much hassle promotes a safe driving experience and a user-friendly atmosphere.
