Ahhh…it’s finally here! After months of waiting, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s highly anticipated action-comedy series, “Fubar”, has finally been revealed to the world with the release of its first teaser trailer! Fans of the legendary star won’t be left wanting, as the trailer promises to be full of the comical hijinx, intense action, and unique Schwarzenegger charm that viewers know and love.
“Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like ‘True Lies.’ Well, here it is,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement, “‘Fubar’ will kick your ass and make you laugh — and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.”
“Fubar” centers around father and daughter Frank and Avery Hruby, who have just discovered their relationship is based upon a lie. It’s only then that they learn their true identities as undercover CIA agents, or, as the trailer so perfectly puts it, “spies”. The show will detail how their dynamic transforms, as the two join forces to embark on a series of thrilling adventures packed with plenty of humour, action and the occasional heart-stopping surprise along the way.
Aside from the legendary Schwarzenegger, the series also stars an all-star cast, consisting of Monica Barbaro, Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris and Fabiana Udenio. Not only that, but “Fubar” was created with Skydance Television and will be executive produced by Schwarzenegger, alongside creator and showrunner Nick Santora, the brainchild behind such hit shows as “Most Dangerous Game” and “Prison Break”.
“The thing I always marveled at was how Schwarzenegger could be funny while still kicking ass,” Santora said. “That’s why I wanted ‘Fubar’ to be a hysterical, CIA-spy comedy mixed with heart-stopping action! And it is all that — and more.”
